Temagami, Ontario Canada
Jim and Jeff would come to Temagami to camp when they were kids, and have always talked about it, so we went. We stayed in finlayson point Provincial Park. I think we had the best site in the place with the best view of the lake. We stayed for 3 days. Beautiful it does not get any better than this. We used the boat all the time, even took it to town to buy groceries, it was quicker than walking. I did a lot of sailing, and we explored the islands around, went swimming, very cold, clear water on slippery rocks.
Gateway to Temagami's vast wilderness, including Lady Evelyn Smoothwater, Finlayson Point is a base for canoeists, boaters, hikers and anglers. Camp here beneath towering stands of pine, swim at a sandy beach, dive in deep, clear water or hike to Caribou Mountain lookout and fire tower. A plaque to Grey Owl honors this well-known English conservationist and imposter.
