Panhandle 2017

We are here in the Panhandle again. Spent the 1st night with Heidi. Good to see her - it's been 2 years.  The dogs had a good time. Then we meandered along Highway 98, the scenic byway. Stopped for breakfast in quaint Carrabelle, before meeting up with Belinda and Jeff.  Spent the 3 days on the beach at Alexander State Park in Panama City, FL, we rode bikes, played with Jims Segway, and the electric scooter, and flew kites on the beach.  Our new beach shade from Ikea is great.  Getting the hang of the new mirrorless camera. Off to Destin, and the beautiful Henderson state park.

Getting  excited about our trip. Leaving 24th May 2026.  Flying to England. Stay with Simon & Louise for 2 days. Then we leave in the camper to cross the channel Dover to Calais. Then take 10 days to get to Split, Croatia, where we go cruising on a 54ft sailing yacht. Meeting Georgia, Matt, Parker Fisher, My neice Sophy and her boyfriend Charley. Dover to Split Boat Tour Nita and Tom are taking care of Barkley. He loves it at their house.  Here we go. Arrived on time. We each had 3 seats to lay down and rest.  Just took a nap. Jet lag... Dover, met up with Jill and Steve Ferry from Dover to Calais. It's been so hot. Nice to cool off. Ist stop Bapaume staying in a great spot in the middle of town, even have power.  Louise bought fresh cream slices. So good. Lovely sleep nice and cool.  Walked in to town for bread. ...

Salt Springs Ocala 2026 site 90 closer to the spring.

2 nights at our favorite spring. The weather was really hot on Wednesday when we got there so we jumped in the cool water and after that it was overcast, which was great. Most of the time we had the Spring to ourselves because we went early, then later in the evening when everyone had gone home. So many huge fish 🐟 Striped Bass, like 3ft long, Mullet, blue crab, black sucker fish, blue gill, sunfish. Playing  cards  They play together so well. Sucker fish.
