Harvest Host at Flagler

We tried to get into our favorite campsites, but all booked, so I thought I would give our new Harvest Host membership a try.  Cypress Knoll Golf Club.  Drove through the Ocala National Forest this time. On the way we found a National Forest  campground called Lake Dorr $6 a night. May go there on the way back.  We got to Flagler  at 3 pm parked in the square  headed for the beach and a walk with Barkley.
Started to get a bit cool as the sun went down. Stopped at a bar for a beer and wings.  Then on to Cypress Knoll for the night. Very quiet and free. Sue was really friendly,  said we could come back anytime.  Cool.  We left early and found a great place, Varn Park on the beach, another walk. Back to the Camper for breakfast.  No one here. Going to get the new chairs out and spend the day here.

View from the Clubhouse at our free campsite.

Always see strange vehicles in Daytona area.

We saw this guy on the way out.

Love our new Chairs, Jim talking to Owen

Vaun Park

Belinda was telling us about Alexander Springs in Ocala Nation Forest, and on the way back we saw the sign, so we went there instead, really nice spring, the water was warm, compared to the air which was really cold. In the morning we moved the camper from our site under the trees to the launch area in the sun. Had a really nice paddle a few Aligators, Turtles,  lots of birds and even an Otter.
