Quarantine #2 Petersburg Campground GA 2020. sites 83 and 84

After spending two weeks in quarantine on the farm, we came back to close on Gary's House. Then what were we going to do? Jeff and Belinda had some time before planting their garden.  So here we are for 4 days.
A 7 hour drive for us 10 hours for them.  The camp just opened, no one here. We have a beautiful site up high with a stunning view of the lake. No bugs, great weather. The kayak launch is a bit difficult but the site next to Jeff and Belinda is perfect. So we'll just go there.

             What a spot
We brought all 3 kayaks and the paddle board.  No need to shower this trip.

Going kayaking, not looking so good.
Oh well go for a swim at the private beach.
Night paddle

Wednesday 21st
Bartram trail that goes for 27 miles we can hop on it from site 91 really nice mostly along the lake.

Throughout the 27-mile hike, you’ll outline the edge of J. Strom Thurmond Lake. This 71,000 acre lake, also known as Clarks Hill Lake, is the 3rd largest lake east of the Mississippi. The reservoir borders Georgia and South Carolina in the Savannah River Basin. You are just steps from the water’s edge and the banks are low, so take a dip in the turquoise lake.
We even used the bikes.
I could stay for a few more days.
We will be back.
Quick stop in Atlanta
