Top Sail, Accident

We had a 4 day trip planned with Gary and Cindy to Topsail State Park Santa Rosa beach in the panhandle. Drove half way to Ochlockonee State Park for the night met up with Gary and Cindy. Went for a quick walk. Then Jim jumped on his segway and fell of it and broke his leg. I sent pics to Matt, who diagnosed it from what he saw. So I unplugged us got him on the bed with help from Gary and another camper, and drove 5 hours to Bayfront Medical center. Its going to be a long haul.  No camping for us for a while.

He is out of the hospital now. Had surgery including a filter in his vein in his neck because of a blood clot in his leg.  He has to be non weight bearing for a few months. Lots of pain.

We went to the Dr today Xray shows everything where its supposed to be now its time to get moving. Three months of non weight bearing.  Seems like the pain is getting a little bit better, He has to get off the heavy meds soon.

Jim got some new wheels from Crisha and Hank. Beau helped me load it in my pickup, with some ramps from Brown.  This will make it much nicer for him for the next 3 months.

Bought Jim a reclining chair today, now he  is able to get out of bed and be more comfortable.

Getting  excited about our trip. Leaving 24th May 2026.  Flying to England. Stay with Simon & Louise for 2 days. Then we leave in the camper to cross the channel Dover to Calais. Then take 10 days to get to Split, Croatia, where we go cruising on a 54ft sailing yacht. Meeting Georgia, Matt, Parker Fisher, My neice Sophy and her boyfriend Charley. Dover to Split Boat Tour Nita and Tom are taking care of Barkley. He loves it at their house.  Here we go. Arrived on time. We each had 3 seats to lay down and rest.  Just took a nap. Jet lag... Dover, met up with Jill and Steve Ferry from Dover to Calais. It's been so hot. Nice to cool off. Ist stop Bapaume staying in a great spot in the middle of town, even have power.  Louise bought fresh cream slices. So good. Lovely sleep nice and cool.  Walked in to town for bread. ...

Salt Springs Ocala 2026 site 90 closer to the spring.

2 nights at our favorite spring. The weather was really hot on Wednesday when we got there so we jumped in the cool water and after that it was overcast, which was great. Most of the time we had the Spring to ourselves because we went early, then later in the evening when everyone had gone home. So many huge fish 🐟 Striped Bass, like 3ft long, Mullet, blue crab, black sucker fish, blue gill, sunfish. Playing  cards  They play together so well. Sucker fish.
