More surgery for Jim

Thursday, it was determined my leg wasnt holding with the screws from surgery #2 three weeks ago, so I had more hardware put in yesterday, plus an implanted external fixation "halo" type rig to hold it all better in place for the next 3 months so it heals right and strong. Pretty painful 😱 through late last night, but they gave me a second "knockout coctail of dilaudid, oxycodone, tylenol, gabapentin, and a few more like morphine or fentanyl, and I had a good night's sleep and feel better this morning. Probably discharged home tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers yesterday. 🙂

Still trying to get the pain under control.  I think we need another day in the hospital. Not looking forward to bringing him back in the car. Going to look into an ambulance service. Its all a bit much to see him in such pain.
They installed a block this afternoon with a pump that will last 3 days. To get him off the heavy narcotics. Hopefully by then the pain will be tolerable. I found an ambulance service to bring him home when they discharge him. I feel much better about that. The thought of me getting him in the car was making me feel sick.

Took out the pump today, so dealing with some pain. Oh boy.

Getting  excited about our trip. Leaving 24th May 2026.  Flying to England. Stay with Simon & Louise for 2 days. Then we leave in the camper to cross the channel Dover to Calais. Then take 10 days to get to Split, Croatia, where we go cruising on a 54ft sailing yacht. Meeting Georgia, Matt, Parker Fisher, My neice Sophy and her boyfriend Charley. Dover to Split Boat Tour Nita and Tom are taking care of Barkley. He loves it at their house.  Here we go. Arrived on time. We each had 3 seats to lay down and rest.  Just took a nap. Jet lag... Dover, met up with Jill and Steve Ferry from Dover to Calais. It's been so hot. Nice to cool off. Ist stop Bapaume staying in a great spot in the middle of town, even have power.  Louise bought fresh cream slices. So good. Lovely sleep nice and cool.  Walked in to town for bread. ...

Salt Springs Ocala 2026 site 90 closer to the spring.

2 nights at our favorite spring. The weather was really hot on Wednesday when we got there so we jumped in the cool water and after that it was overcast, which was great. Most of the time we had the Spring to ourselves because we went early, then later in the evening when everyone had gone home. So many huge fish 🐟 Striped Bass, like 3ft long, Mullet, blue crab, black sucker fish, blue gill, sunfish. Playing  cards  They play together so well. Sucker fish.
