Headed for cooler weather.

After 5 long months of Jim being laid up with his broken leg, we were ready to hit the road.  Stopped at High falls just south of Atlanta, had to plug in somewhere for the night - too hot for Walmart.  Site 2 was great.  Then Jim stopped to see Kathryn for a few hours. Then we went to Davidson River for a night, still hot so we ran for the hills.  4 nights sites 29 and 21 at Pisgah Campground. Nice and cool here.
What a relief, we just walked over to the  lodge. 
Nice hike today  Buck spring trail.
2 miles lots of steep up and down hill, Jim did great. We are both so out of shape.

Getting  excited about our trip. Leaving 24th May 2026.  Flying to England. Stay with Simon & Louise for 2 days. Then we leave in the camper to cross the channel Dover to Calais. Then take 10 days to get to Split, Croatia, where we go cruising on a 54ft sailing yacht. Meeting Georgia, Matt, Parker Fisher, My neice Sophy and her boyfriend Charley. Dover to Split Boat Tour Nita and Tom are taking care of Barkley. He loves it at their house.  Here we go. Arrived on time. We each had 3 seats to lay down and rest.  Just took a nap. Jet lag... Dover, met up with Jill and Steve Ferry from Dover to Calais. It's been so hot. Nice to cool off. Ist stop Bapaume staying in a great spot in the middle of town, even have power.  Louise bought fresh cream slices. So good. Lovely sleep nice and cool.  Walked in to town for bread. ...

Salt Springs Ocala 2026 site 90 closer to the spring.

2 nights at our favorite spring. The weather was really hot on Wednesday when we got there so we jumped in the cool water and after that it was overcast, which was great. Most of the time we had the Spring to ourselves because we went early, then later in the evening when everyone had gone home. So many huge fish 🐟 Striped Bass, like 3ft long, Mullet, blue crab, black sucker fish, blue gill, sunfish. Playing  cards  They play together so well. Sucker fish.
