Linville Falls

Great camp only $8.00 per night with Jims Senior  pass, got here at around 6pm.  Took off the bikes and rode down the long steep hill to the river.  We were able to ride the bikes a good bit on the trail to the waterfall.   Magnificent view, tons of water going into a gorge. 

We would definately come back here,  friendly camp host, there were only a few campers. Very clean, no showers or hookups, we used the generator, and drove the camper to keep the batteries up stayed 2 nights. 

                                                                 

These two came in late last night. Driving a  Mazda Miata towing this tiny trailer tent, so cool they were a scream all the stuff that came out, it was like a clown car.

Stop In Newland for lunch, a few fresh vegetables, and the hardware store.

Then we asked the locals if we could buy some fresh trout anywhere.  Up the side of the mountain they sent us, to Cable fish farm.

Where we scooped 5 trout out of a huge pool, they raise them and supply the local restaurants. Tried to get him to gut them for us but no he only guts on thursdays. 

So Jim did the gutting down at Elk River Falls.

We kept one big one to eat and froze the others.
