The Virginia Creeper Trail, Damascus

Today we arrived in Damascus Virginia to ride the trail. This little town made famous by its bike trails, , and access to  the appalachian trail We paid to have us and the bikes shuttled up the mountain to the trail head.  We rode, or should I say braked 17 miles back to town, following the river, through woods and fields, rode over 21  bridges over the river. It was so much fun.

They had a bike race going on at the Old Mill so we fit right in. Had dinner in the restaurant,  and spent the night beside the river next to the Mill, free and beautiful.
