Kring Point State Park 1000 islands NY

The minimum criteria for classification as an island in the St. Lawrence river is to be above water level year round, have an area greater then .093 meters (1 square foot) and support at least one living tree. This is a stunning park on the river with quite a few islands around it.  We have a beautiful view from our campsite looking straight across to Canada. It doesn't get much better than this. I'm always saying that.
