Azalea Campsite - Giant Sequoia National Park
Nice and cool last night. A beautiful but hairy ride to get here. Lots of very narrow very steep roads with drop offs on one side and ovehanging granite cliffs and trees on the other - and no shoulder to speak of. Nevertheless, our camper showed its muscle and nimbleness and went over them like a champ. We put all our food in the bear box outside - as the Parks really warn about bears and food - with photos of cars with doors torn off to get at food inside, and they even fine you for not keeping food in the bear boxes per their warnings they make you initial and post in your windshield next to your campsite pass . Anyway, we then had a nice hot shower in the camper this morning, as we were able to fill up with water just next to our site outside the bathrooms. Then, we rode our bikes down to the Congressional Sequioa Grove and had a nice 3 mile hike where we saw bear and deer amongst the massive trees there.
