Henry and Linda's Place in Tahoe

So we came out of Yosemite, over the Tioga Pass - just amazing views, and a much better road than the one we came in on. We found that we would be passing within about 20 miles of Henry and Linda's  (newest) place on LakeTahoe, so we spent tne night as their guests and there we are having a nice dinner last night, with some of  the food we took from brunch yesterday morning at the Awannee Lodge with Betty and Gary, some potatoes and onions that we found here, and some salad that I had in the camper. I also finished off a bottle of red wine that I found in the fridge.  Jim is trying to figure out what to do about a bat that apparently "flue" in through the fireplace chimney recently and is currently sleeping in the chimney grout line between granite chunks in the stairway.....(can't seem to find a butterfly net, so may have to catch it in a hiking hat...more later).  What a lovely trip we are having, quite an adventure.

The 'Piersons' Bat' which Jim singlehandedly and without regard to the risk, captured (gently), took outside on the balcony, and released to hang upside down off the balcony railing this morning.

It's been 15 years. Here we go. Simon Barbara Len Louise Jim Simon and Louise's house and camper. Beautiful weather  Lots of lovely walks. Marla and Robs Wedding trip.

Having  a nice drive up to see Michael and Hannah first. Spent last night at the Virginia Welcome center, great sleep. Nice cool weather. Michael and Hannah's house. Fabulous. Up a very steep drive, no problem for us.   Nice flat spot for the camper. Jim and Michael fixed our water leak. Great kitchen Beautiful view  Beautiful here. Home made sourdough bagels. Fort Pickens Again

And it's going to be cold. Meeting Jeff Belinda, Laurie and Dennis, Dave and Lori We made it after a quick stop at the Silver Sands Outlet where we did some damage. Shoes, pants, jackets, all at great prices we could not resist. Long walk to the beach side this morning. Great paddle today Wind kicked up at the beach later Laurie The medical crew Naval Aviation Museum  We had a wonderful week at Fort Pickens now we are on to Apalachicola for the night. Had a fabulous dinner and spent the night on the dock nice and quiet. Woke up to dolphin swimming by. Now we're going to go cruise around the shops.
