Well we made it at last! Really beautiful!  On Wednesday we got here late but managed to to do a 3 hour hike down the South Kaibab trail. Belinda and I turned back after 2 miles, while Jim and Jeff hiked the trail down to Skeleton Point yesterday (6.3 miles horizontal and 2000 feet vertical) in 3 hours. Today we all hiked Bright Angel trail Jeff & Jim hiked it all the way down to the Colorado River and back the same day (18.7 miles horizontal, 1 mile vertical!!!) in under 10 hours. Belinda and I went for about 4 hours on Bright Angel, then biked 10 miles along the Hermit trail along the rim with gorgeous panoramic views.  It was spectacular.

Getting  excited about our trip. Leaving 24th May 2026.  Flying to England. Stay with Simon & Louise for 2 days. Then we leave in the camper to cross the channel Dover to Calais. Then take 10 days to get to Split, Croatia, where we go cruising on a 54ft sailing yacht. Meeting Georgia, Matt, Parker Fisher, My neice Sophy and her boyfriend Charley. Dover to Split Boat Tour Nita and Tom are taking care of Barkley. He loves it at their house.  Here we go. Arrived on time. We each had 3 seats to lay down and rest.  Just took a nap. Jet lag... Dover, met up with Jill and Steve Ferry from Dover to Calais. It's been so hot. Nice to cool off. Ist stop Bapaume staying in a great spot in the middle of town, even have power.  Louise bought fresh cream slices. So good. Lovely sleep nice and cool.  Walked in to town for bread. ...

Salt Springs Ocala 2026 site 90 closer to the spring.

2 nights at our favorite spring. The weather was really hot on Wednesday when we got there so we jumped in the cool water and after that it was overcast, which was great. Most of the time we had the Spring to ourselves because we went early, then later in the evening when everyone had gone home. So many huge fish 🐟 Striped Bass, like 3ft long, Mullet, blue crab, black sucker fish, blue gill, sunfish. Playing  cards  They play together so well. Sucker fish.
