Cheticamp Nova Scotia

We are still traveling along the Cabot Trail.  Its a bit rainy today, which is a shame because some spectacular views, even Snow. We wanted to hike the Skyway Trail but too wet,  we are camped now and will go back and hike it tomorrow when the weather should be better. We are staying in Cheticamp N.P. campground, free again, only this time we were able to use the dump station, and we have electricity and have wifi. We just had a fabulous dinner of king crab legs that we bought live as they pulled them from the fishing boats. They cleaned them and put them on ice for us. 2 pounds for $13 Canadian - about $10 U.S. I steamed them for 6 min. The Lobster will be next as they are just setting the pots now.

Getting  excited about our trip. Leaving 24th May 2026.  Flying to England. Stay with Simon & Louise for 2 days. Then we leave in the camper to cross the channel Dover to Calais. Then take 10 days to get to Split, Croatia, where we go cruising on a 54ft sailing yacht. Meeting Georgia, Matt, Parker Fisher, My neice Sophy and her boyfriend Charley. Dover to Split Boat Tour Nita and Tom are taking care of Barkley. He loves it at their house.  Here we go. Arrived on time. We each had 3 seats to lay down and rest.  Just took a nap. Jet lag... Dover, met up with Jill and Steve Ferry from Dover to Calais. It's been so hot. Nice to cool off. Ist stop Bapaume staying in a great spot in the middle of town, even have power.  Louise bought fresh cream slices. So good. Lovely sleep nice and cool.  Walked in to town for bread. ...

Salt Springs Ocala 2026 site 90 closer to the spring.

2 nights at our favorite spring. The weather was really hot on Wednesday when we got there so we jumped in the cool water and after that it was overcast, which was great. Most of the time we had the Spring to ourselves because we went early, then later in the evening when everyone had gone home. So many huge fish 🐟 Striped Bass, like 3ft long, Mullet, blue crab, black sucker fish, blue gill, sunfish. Playing  cards  They play together so well. Sucker fish.
