Rotten Roads Nova Scotia

We left Moncton at a Bass Pro where we spent a really chilly night with high winds. Had the heater going to take the chill off, and we put some RV antifreeze in the drains because it was below freezing. Slept like a log.  We have not been to a campsite yet so it was time for a shower needing to fill up with water we headed to a gas station. Planning to have shower in the camper.  Turned out the gas station had showers there, so for $10 we both had a fabulous shower with loads of hot water they even provided the towels.  It was like a huge hotel room shower with granite counter tops.
Then went to a welcome center where the girl at the desk sugested a route to take, so we set off, big mistake, not much to see, and the roads full of potholes. We did get some different views of the bay of Fundy.  But no hikes. Just stopped at 10.30pm. Tomorrow we will be heading to the Cabot Trail so hope that will be great.

Getting  excited about our trip. Leaving 24th May 2026.  Flying to England. Stay with Simon & Louise for 2 days. Then we leave in the camper to cross the channel Dover to Calais. Then take 10 days to get to Split, Croatia, where we go cruising on a 54ft sailing yacht. Meeting Georgia, Matt, Parker Fisher, My neice Sophy and her boyfriend Charley. Dover to Split Boat Tour Nita and Tom are taking care of Barkley. He loves it at their house.  Here we go. Arrived on time. We each had 3 seats to lay down and rest.  Just took a nap. Jet lag... Dover, met up with Jill and Steve Ferry from Dover to Calais. It's been so hot. Nice to cool off. Ist stop Bapaume staying in a great spot in the middle of town, even have power.  Louise bought fresh cream slices. So good. Lovely sleep nice and cool.  Walked in to town for bread. ...

Salt Springs Ocala 2026 site 90 closer to the spring.

2 nights at our favorite spring. The weather was really hot on Wednesday when we got there so we jumped in the cool water and after that it was overcast, which was great. Most of the time we had the Spring to ourselves because we went early, then later in the evening when everyone had gone home. So many huge fish 🐟 Striped Bass, like 3ft long, Mullet, blue crab, black sucker fish, blue gill, sunfish. Playing  cards  They play together so well. Sucker fish.
